track meet

The kids had their first track meet this summer. They both did an awesome job. They love racing and look forward to going to more meets this summer.

 Murphy running in for the win in the 50m run. I also had him run in the 3 year old age group since he turns 3 in a week. I was so surprised at how well he ran.

being silly

These two were being super silly while their older brothers had soccer practice. I'm glad I had my camera with me to capture some of their silliness.

pool time

Not only did we go to the beach yesterday but we also went to the swimming pool. The weather has been really nice and the kids have been loving the outdoor pool. So glad that we have one only minutes from our house.

Squalicum Beach

We had a really great time this morning. We headed to IHOP for breakfast and then took the kids for a bike ride on a trail to Squalicum Beach. The kids had fun exploring the beach and creating a dam in the stream. Murphy fell when he was riding his bike and face planted on the gravel path. His chin was bleeding pretty good so he got to sport a Band-Aid on his chin for most of the day. He is a tough kid though he gets right back up on rides his bike like nothing happened. It was fun to be together as a family today since Will had been gone for a week for work. The kids love being with their daddy.

A.M. Beach

Today we visited the lake for the first time this summer. It was a bit on the windy side, which made it kind of cold, so we didn't stay long but the kids had fun, especially Murphy. Looking forward to the weather getting better and enjoying the lake and outdoor pool this summer!

 Konnor got too cold after only playing for about 15 minutes. Murphy was still having a ton of fun so I bundled Konnor in two towels and we let Murphy play for another 15 minutes before we packed it up.

We were invited to pick strawberries with some friends. The kids weren't too interested in actual picking. They were more interested in eating the strawberries and just walking/running around the field. Looking forward to picking raspberries next!

Last day of 1st grade!

Konnor told me last night that he had mixed feelings about school being over. He said he was happy because it was going to be summer but sad because he was going to miss school and his teacher. He had such an amazing year in 1st grade. On to 2nd grade we go...

Haircuts!

I actually prefer Murphy's hair longer and wasn't planning on cutting his hair, just Konnor's but when he saw that I was going to cut Konnor's hair, he kept bugging me to cut his hair too. I think they look a lot more alike with the same haircut.

 

Konnor lost tooth #6 last night.
