drinking from a straw

Will gave Murphy his water bottle the other day and to our surprise, Murphy was able to drink from the straw. He sucked the water right up. When did my boy get so big? In about 3 or 4 months, he will no longer be using a bottle! Crazy to think about.

I finally captured Murphy crawling on video! He has been low crawling for awhile now but he has finally started crawling on his hands and knees about two weeks ago. I had to get a video of him in action. Check it out.

Daddy and Konnor went exploring around our neighborhood today looking for cool bugs. Konnor really wanted to find Rollie Pollies (sp?)....his favorite bug. He found those and a few other things.

They came home with a Salamander.

 Konnor found a Rollie Pollie.

 They also found an empty birds nest which turned into the Rollie Pollie's new home.

Murphy is such a happy baby. After he had his lunch today and while he was still in his high chair, I started making funny faces at him and he thought I was hilarious. He would not stop smiling and laughing. I love this happy and easygoing baby.

waiting for swim lessons

We got to swim lessons a little early today and Konnor decided to pose for a few pictures before class. He's such a goofball. By the way, he is doing extremely well with his lessons. He's had 10 lessons so far and is almost ready to move to the next class. The only thing he needs to work on is being more comfortable with his back float. The teacher wants Konnor to be able to float on his back by himself for at least 5 seconds and we are at about 2 seconds. Besides that he is doing awesome. I couldn't be more proud. I never would have thought he'd be comfortable enough to completely submerge himself underwater but he does and he thinks it's fun! So proud of this kid!

I pulled out an old toy of Konnors for Murphy to play with and it was a hit. He loves this thing.

One of the items that Konnor recieved in his Easter basket was a bird house. We finally got around to painting it. Konnor chose to paint it red and yellow with his glitter paint. We then filled it with birdseed and hung it outside.

The Spring Fair

The kids and I headed down to Puyallup to spend the weekend with my best friend and her family. On Saturday we decided to spend the day at the fair. The kids had a blast and Konnor had so much fun playing with his best buddy, Anna. We'll have to make this a yearly thing.

It is so hard to get a good picture of the boys together. Most of the time it's because Murphy won't look at the camera because he apparently has more important things to do. Konnor was a good sport. He just sat there smiling at the camera and trying to get Murphy to sit still long enough for a photo.

Clothes: 12-18 months

Sleeping 10-12 hours at night.

Takes 2-3 naps a day, averages an hour a nap.

Eats really well. There is nothing he doesn't like.

Does not like to be held. Will push and squirm until I give in and put him down.

Loves bath time.

Holds his own bottle when he drinks his formula.

Is so squirmy, it is really hard to change his diaper.

Is an overall happy laid back baby.

On Easter Sunday we decided to spend part of the day at the park. It was such a beautiful day. Konnor had fun on the playground. Murphy had fun watching Konnor. They both had fun on the swings. Konnor had fun blowing bubbles. Murphy had fun playing in the grass. I had fun capturing it all on camera.
