Introducing...

Konnor James
Born on Saturday, July 21st
8:53pm
4 pounds, 6.5 ounces
18.5 inches

More info to come once we get a little more settled but so far this is a quick overview of what's going on in our world right now. Will is in the process of moving everything into the house & closing all of our bank stuff. Hopefully, he'll be able to come back down to Seattle on wednesday or thursday. I'm headed back down to Seattle tomorrow morning (I just got released this afternoon) to feed our little boy and to wait for the news when he is strong and healthy enough to come home with us. For those of you who don't know, I was only 33 weeks when I delivered (my water broke at 4:30am on Thursday, the 19th) so I had a fun ride down to Seattle in an ambulance since St. Joseph's only delivers babies 35 weeks and older. Anyway, I'll be staying in Puyallup with family and will try and keep everyone posted as soon as I get another chance. Konnor is doing really well right now and we are very optimistic that he will be ready to come home in a week. Please keep him in your prayers. He is such a strong boy, we know he'll be just fine. I never knew I could love someone so much. Will and I have never been as happy as we are right now. Life couldn't be any better.

good news!!!

We can start our big move to the house. We had our final inspection today and we passed. There are a few minor things and one big thing that needs to be done but we did get the okay that we can start moving some stuff over. The inspector does have to come out one more time to make sure that we put a vehicle barrier (I've never heard of this before, but we have to put this in so that Will doesn't drive into the garage and accidentally drive into our furnace) in our garage but after that we will have officially passed our inspection. Hopefully, the final okay with come Friday or Monday. But we are just so excited that we can finally move our stuff over. Will is hoping he has Saturday off so he can start the process, we'll see. I work all weekend so I guess I can't help with the move. I guess I'm just stuck with the decorating part...oh well :) I do have to pack up the apartment though...not looking forward to that, I guess I better get started. Please keep your fingers crossed for us that the move goes well and that Will doesn't break anything like he did the last time we moved (I have some funny stories). I'll keep everyone posted and I'm sure I'll have some pictures to post as well.

berry picking

So, I've lived in Bellingham for 8 years and I never knew about Boxx Berry Farm. It's out in Ferndale and it rocks. They have all sorts of fun things you can pick throughout the year (so looking foward to the pumpkins). Since I've never been berry picking in my life (unless you count picking blackberries on the side of the road) I decided to go give it a try. I dragged Will and his brother Jake with me and man did I have fun...the boys had to drag me away. Good thing we got a small bucket, I could have been there for hours. The raspberries looked so good. We picked almost 5 pounds worth. I froze most of them & plan to make lots of shakes and maybe even a raspberry pie. We'll see. Blueberries are coming in soon, I might have to take another stroll out there for that as well. Mmmmmm...blueberry pancakes!

so very close...

I had a day off from work today (on the hottest day of the week) so guess what I did? I went to my house to do some touch up painting, dusting, sweeping, & whatever else I could do to clean the place up a little. We are so very close to being done. The front deck is finally complete, along with our driveway. Our carpet is in (it looks really good downstairs), our appliances FINALLY arrived & are installed, our bathroom mirrors are up along with our towel racks & toilet paper holders & the water is finally hooked up. Things are pretty much complete. The only thing we really have left is our landscaping. We are planning on having our final inspection done on Monday. Hopefully, everything goes well and we can move in at the end of next week or early the week after. Keep your fingers crossed for us, we really want to get out of this apartment, it's feeling more and more cramped every day. So very close I can taste it!

Reverend Borego

That's right, I said Reverend Borego, as you can see in the picture, it's official. Will is now a reverend. Who would have thought that would ever happen, let alone it only taking him about 15 minutes to become one. One of his closest buddies is getting married in August and wanted Will to perform the ceremony. It's actually pretty cool if you think about it. So, if any of you out there need to find someone to marry you, Will's the guy, he's officially ordained! Crazy, I know!
