sue aka "the killer"

Do not let this picture fool you. Sue may look sweet and innocent but in reality he is a cold blooded killer. Just recently Will and I decided to let Sue roam around outdoors (he used to be an outdoor cat and then we moved into an apartment and kept him indoors with the other kitties) but now that we are in a house we decided to let him run around outdoors again. I'm so happy we did because now I don't have to clean a liter box anymore! Anyway, one morning (about a week ago) I woke up to find Sue outside meowing. So, I open up the sliding door to let Sue in. At the same time, I am letting Maggie out so that she can go potty in the backyard. As I follow Maggie outside, I step on something that is sitting on the doormat (with my bare feet). I turn around and think "Gross, I just stepped on a hairball." As I am walking back to the doormat to go clean it up, I notice that it is not a hairball but in fact two tiny mice...dead as can be. I freak out and make Will throw them away of course. I know that outdoor cats do this sort of thing but for some reason, I wasn't expecting to see or step in any of it. So, needless to say, I was grossed out. Well, that week goes by and yesterday, the same thing happened except for the whole stepping on it. This time there was no mistaking the dead animal that was sitting on our doormat. This time, Sue decided to kill a squirrel! I've heard of mice and birds but squirrels? That poor squirrel. Will said that the next animal we're going to see dead on our doormat will be a deer. Wouldn't that be wierd or kind of scary? It's like Sue is bringing us home a present. Is there a way to tell him that I'm not into those kinds of presents? Sue aka "The Killer!"

sweet boy

All I want to say is I am so completely in love with this sweet little boy. He makes my heart melt. What a blessing!

He loves to lay on his boppy and he is doing such an amazing job keeping his head up. He's standing now as well. Will likes to think Konnor's going to skip the whole crawling thing and just start walking.

Doesn't he look adorable in his halloween outfit? Will picked it out. He's hoping Konnor's going to love Halloween as much as he does. If you look at his left hand, I think he's trying to tell Will that he definitely wants to be a rocker like daddy.

addicted

So many people have been talking about scrapbookpictures.com and I've finally tried it and now I am so addicted. My pictures turn out ten times better and there are so many fun options. I don't think I'll ever print my pictures from any other place. On another note, I've been in a super creative mood and last night I did some super cute, quick, and simple projects for the house. The first project is with the fun new magnet frame that we sell at Treasury and all I did was add some fun rubons to it. The "baby" lettering around the photo is from scrapbookpictures.com, so fun! The second project is something that I'm slowly going to be adding too. I took a 12x12 canvas, painted it and mod podged it with a 12x12 photo that I printed from no other than scrapbookpictures.com. I'm going to do another one with a photo of Konnors toes and another one of his hands and hang them in the hallway. I think it'll turn out pretty well. The walls in my house are still bare so I'm trying to think of some ways to make it more homey. The next thing on my list is to start adding some vinyl. I have no doubt that vinyl will be my next addiction.

not fair

How is it that the one time Will offers to stay up all night with Konnor, he (Konnor) decides to be on his best behavior. The night before, Will tells me that he is going to take Konnor into the living room and sleep on the couch so that I can get one night of uninterrupted sleep. I thought to myself, I can't pass up this offer but boy is he in for a long night. See, Konnor has been pretty fussy lately and instead of eating than going to sleep right away for three hours and repeating this routine, Konnor has been eating, then staying up for 2 hours (sometimes more) than sleeping for 1 to 3 hours then eating and so forth. So, I haven't been getting the best nights rest. Well, Will had the day off yesterday so he decided to stay up with Konnor so that I could sleep. It was nice, I slept from 11 to 6 without any interruptions. I can't even remember the last time I did that. I woke up at 6 to Konnor crying and when I go out to the living room to hear the rundown of the night, I can't believe what I hear. Will tells me that when I fed Konnor at 10pm Konnor didn't wake up again until 1:30am. He went right to sleep after he ate and then he didn't wake up again until 6am. Was Konnor like this last night? No. Oh well, what can I do? At least I got a great nights rest. No complaints there.
On another note, I've finally did some scrapbooking the other day. The first time since I've had Konnor. Just one layout but I'm so happy. I'm finally in a creative mood. Hopefully this means I'll get some more layouts done in the near future.

6 week check up...

Konnor had his six week check up on tuesday and it went really well. He is a strong, healthy boy. He now weighs 8 pounds, 2 ounces and is 20 3/4 inches long. I can't believe how big he's getting. He outgrew his preemie clothes a while ago and is starting to outgrow some of his newborn clothes and can fit into some of the 0-3 month clothes. We are so happy with how things are going. The doc said he is in the 77 percentile, which means he's pretty average right now, especially for a preemie. He also had to get three shots while at the docs and he did not like that. He was pretty mad at me for the rest of the day. The only concern we have right now is his head. Nothing serious but the right side of his head is getting pretty flat (he sleeps on that side about 90 percent of the time) and the doc just told me to keep an eye on it and she'll check it every time he comes in. I'm also supposed to try and turn his head so he tries to sleep on the other side, which is actually going okay so far. A lot of the times though, I will turn his head and 5 minutes later, it's back to the other side. The doc said that if it gets to a point where it's not getting better and actually getting worse, he might have to see a specialist and might have to wear a helmet to help it (but that's a long way from now). She said that it's more common in preemies for some reason. There is a term for it but I can't remember what it's called, it had a really really long name though. She said that it usually get's better especially when babies start to roll over and sit up and the helmet thing would be the last resort. I don't think it'll come to that but let's keep our fingers crossed anyway.
