raisins

Konnor sures loves raisins. He wanted to get the raisins himself so I gave him the box and let me go for it. It took him awhile to figure out how to get the box open. Once he opened the box he couldn't get any raisins out because they were all smooshed to the bottom of the box. But he finally figured out that he could turn the box upside down & shake it a bit and out they would fall.

step by step

I just wanted to let everyone know that my baby boy is taking more and more steps every single day. Today was a milestone and I was so very proud of him. He took 11 steps all by himself and when he fell over he got right back up and took another 5 steps. He is getting braver with the walking every single day. Before I realize it he'll be running all over the place. I can't wait! I'm so proud of you buddy!

the fair, walking, taking a dip, & cleaning

Will, Konnor, & I went to the fair earlier this week. It was sooooo HOT! We didn't stay long because of the heat. Konnor's cheeks were so red (see pic below) and he was getting cranky so we pretty much just checked out the animals, ate lunch, and grabbed a funnel cake. This is the only picture I took.

Konnor has decided that he really likes his tonka truck & has been pushing it everywhere he goes. He will rarely sit on it but he definitely loves to push it. He is also getting closer to walking all on his own. He'll take about 2 to 3 steps by himself and then he'll just sit down but if you hold his hand or if he has his tonka truck he'll walk all over the place.

It was so hot about two days ago so we decided to fill up Konnor little pool and plop him in it. He loved it! It cooled him off instantly. His favorite thing was to crawl in and out of it.

In the last few days Konnor has started a new thing. He loves to grab the kitchen towel or he'll even use his washcloths or blanket and just crawl around on the floor. It's pretty funny because it looks like I'm putting him to work and making him sweep the floor. And this morning for about 10 minutes straight he kept walking around the coffee table and kept cleaning the top of it with his washcloth. It was pretty entertaining.

water baby

Today was such a nice day. We were driving along Meridian St. and I remembered that there is an awesome spray park for kids at Cornwall Park so we decided to stop and see if Konnor would like it. He loved it. He is such a water baby. He absolutely loves the water & Will's hoping Konnor will be the next Michael Phelps. We'll see! Anyway, once we got home we decided to head to the pool by our house. I've lived in this house for a year and this was the first time we've gone to the pool. And again, Konnor loved it. He was walking in the water and crawling all over the place (in the really shallow area),kicking his feet in the water like he was ready to swim and he especially did not want to leave. When we did leave, he was so mad. He was crying and trying to wiggle his way out of my arms. He wanted to stay in the water. It was actually pretty funny but we were already there way too long. I guess we're going to have to go back very soon.

Here he is at the spray park.

Here we are at the pool.

Here's Konnor taking a break from the water. He drove his tractor all over the ground but in these photos he seems more interested in the ground than his tractor.

Here he is back in the pool with daddy.

5 long weeks...

Will has been gone for the past five weeks and he finally came home yesterday. This is Konnor & his daddy reuniting. Konnor was sooo happy to see him. I was worried he wouldn't remember him but the moment he saw his daddy's face, his own face lit up in a huge smile. He loves his daddy so very much.

i woke up to these two this morning

Isn't that sweet? Mom and baby taking a stroll through my backyard. They were pretty cute even though they were eating my ferns.

This is what Konnor looked like when I first brought out my camera to take his picture.
This is him when he realized that I wasn't going to give him my camera.

And this is his fake cry because now he's really mad that I won't give him my camera. How obviously fake is that look on his face. He is one overly dramatic boy.
And this is him a little later playing peek-a-boo and back to his happy self.
