new layout

I just did a quick layout this morning of Will and Christopher, so I thought I'd share it with all of you. I found these pictures a couple of days ago and I just had to scrapbook them. The two of them are so stinkin cute. This was right before Will's deployment, it was a mardi gras party for the soldiers. When I saw Will and Christopher laying on the floor I just had to capture the moment. Isn' t it the cutest thing you ever saw. I love it!

american dreamz

Will and I just got home from watching the movie "American Dreamz" and I just have to let everyone know that we just wasted two hours of our life sitting in the theatre watching this movie. It is soooooo horrible. I can't believe how bad it is. Will and I just sat there in disbelief. We couldn't believe a movie could be so bad. If you laugh more watching a preview than you do watching the feature, something is wrong. I was so excited to see this movie and I am very disappointed in how the movie turned out. So....if any of you are going to the theatre any time this week, do me a favor and don't watch "American Dreamz," you'll be wasting your money and time.

Finally!!!!

I am finally done updating my resume and my human resource letter, now I can send off my applications for teaching postitions. I'm already done with two. Bellingham's application process is so intense but I finally finished it today and it will be sent off tomorrow with hopes of getting a job. I am sending another one tomorrow as well...for a 1st grade position in Lynden. Within the next month, I hope to send out at least 5 more applications. I'm asking all of you to keep your fingers crossed for me and wish me luck. I really really really hope I get a job this year. It would definitely make my year! Okay, time to go, it's almost time for 'American Idol'! Go Taylor!

new layouts...

I've been in a kind of creative slump for the last couple of weeks so when Alisen asked me to do a couple of layouts for the store, I thought I should, so I could get my creative juices flowing again. Did it work? Yes, it did. I was able to do three layouts in two days. I was pretty impressed with myself and I think they turned out pretty well too. Hopefully, now I can work on some of my own stuff. I saw my mom yesterday and she decided to give me all of my baby pictures so that I can put a scrapbook together...I am eager to start. It'll be nice to have all my baby pictures in one book. Anyway, here are two of the layouts that I did for the store.

Bones and Sue looking super cute together. I just love this picture of my kitties and as you can tell, they love eachother as well.

I will never forget this day...our hike up to the oyster dome. It was a pretty intense hike, three miles all up hill. It was grueling and when we got to the top, we were so fogged in, I didn't get the reward of seeing the beautiful view. It was all for nothing :( Then I almost killed myself when we decided to hike back down, I fell down at one point and almost broke my wrist. Will had to make a temporary sling because my wrist hurt so bad. So, basically, the hike was a big waste of time but I will never forget it.

murder mystery

My dad and Gwendolyn hosted a murder mystery yesterday and Will and I were invited to come and play. We had never been to one before so it was definitely a new experience and a fun one. We had a really good time. The murder mystery was set in Chicago in 1928. There were eight of us and we all had a specific character we had to play (we dressed the part as well...pictures below). The goal was to figure out who, out of the eight of us, was the murderer. The game went on for about four hours. It was really fun. In the end, the murderer ended up to be..........drum roll..........ME! We all had a great time and we're already planning for the next one. Check out the fun pictures below.

No Water!!!

So, I come home from work today at around 4pm and I do the usual, I say "hi" to my kitties, I do a little cleaning and then I relax for a bit. When I look at the clock again, it's about 4:45pm and I think to myself, Will's coming home tonight so why don't I go suprise him and wash the car (it seriously hasn't been washed in about a year), so I go wash the car and when I come home around 5pm, I am sweaty and dirty so I decide to go wash my hands and face in the bathroom sink. When I go to turn on the sink, there's no water coming out! Well, there's water coming out but in spurts and the faucet is making a really wierd noise. I freak out and go check the kitchen sink and what a suprise, the water in the kitchen isn't working either. So, to make a long story short, I go find the manager and tell him my situation and lo and behold, the unit right next door to mine, had a serious water blow up. Their hot water heater or whatever it's called pretty much blew up and the unit below theirs got some serious rain. (lucky I wasn't below them or else I would have been a little upset). So, the plummer is on his way and hopefully, I will have water flowing in my sinks once again. So, the moral of the story is, if you have to live in an apartment, always live on the top floor, so you don't ever have to worry about getting rained on...or just don't live in an apartment!

My talented friend....

So, I have to brag for a second about my friend, Alisen. She is an amazing friend, mother, and scrapper. Not only are we best friends but we also get to work with eachother at our favorite scrapbook store, Treasury of Memories. Isn't that cool? She also has an amazing talent (scrapbooking) and to prove it, she has been published twice. First, in the nov/dec 2005 issue of Simple Scrapbooks magazine and now she is published in the new Creating Keepsakes School Memories magazine. Not only is her layout published in this magazine but they also used her layout as their ad for the magazine. I think that rocks and I am so stinkin proud of her! I just had to let everyone know how amazing and talented she is. She will go a long way with her scrapbooking/stamping talents. Congratulations Ali! You rock!
